Located in a very calm street in the East Village, A1 Records is a place you can go and just explore for hours. I love the neighborhood and it always amazing to explore it. New stuff comes in practically every day!
The store was founded in and their vinyl curation is fantastic. Amazingly, they opened much more recently than the other stores, in November of , but the team behind it really knows how to surprise music lovers with an outstanding variety and selection of products. OMG, and did you know you can also find cassette tapes there? Such a nostalgic experience!

Our last stop was in the super cool neighborhood of Bushwick! Their very existence is a fight against the current demands for smaller, faster, cheaper, lighter. Vinyl is none of these things.
Vinyl is its own reward. It makes sense that New York City, with its long historical connection to music and its fervent support of small businesses, plays host to a handful of expertly curated record stores.
